During this presentation, the audience will learn various modalities related to skill acquisition in the areas of toilet training and self-care skills. The conference participant will learn to detect readiness, and how to teach these skills utilizing behavioral strategies. The audience members will acquire the skills necessary to facilitate success for students in these skill areas including, but not limited to baseline assessment, task analysis, reinforcer assessments and data collection. A range of strategies will be presented; simple program plans and real-word techniques to help the student accomplish and maintain skills in the areas of toileting, hand washing, tooth brushing, and dressing. By the end of the session, the audience will leave with the ability to create a lesson plan or road map for the student’s continued mastery of self-care skill areas. *If your child is attending a center based program please pass this on. This workshop would give the staff strategies to help with toileting before your child attends kindergarten* |
